LUDWIG
BIRTH DATE: April 30, 2011
SIRE: Candillo Junior
REGISTRY: Can be registered and branded as a Belgium Warmblood
He’s arrived! Born a day or so early, but I can see why, poor Maddie just needed this guy out before he seriously outgrew her belly! He’s ALL legs. But he’s out with no issues, and he’s had some time to figure those limbs out. If you like them big and bold, you’ll have to come check this guy out. This colt is lucky number 7 for my mare Maddie, he reminds me of her first foal, now seven year old Ash, who apparently might be heading more into the great world of jumping over her original start in hunters to best capitalize on all her scope. This guy has some serious jumping blood through and through; he should make an awesome competitive partner for someone. In his sire’s 30 day test he was second of his group with an average jumping score of 9.3 including a 10 for technique, see Candillo’s link for more information on him.

WYATT
BIRTH DATE: March 28, 2011
SIRE: Wolkentanz II
REGISTRY: Is registered and branded with the German Hanoverian Verband.
Gracie has out done herself, this graying guy has some serious style! A super cute head, great topline, up hill build all ready, strong hindquarters with a nice long hip, all on top of great straight legs. His personality is coming out as well, he loves his scratches and will come looking for them if you’re going to hang around in the barn.
So now we wait and see which direction this colt leans towards, ultimate dressage partner or mega jumper? He’s got the pedigree behind him to consider either.

KAMILLA
BIRTH DATE: May 4 2010
SIRE: Gatsby
REGISTERED: Has been registered and branded as a Belgium Warmblood
Kamilla is the result of the 3rd pairing of my mare Maddie and the black Oldenburg stallion Gatsby. It’s a cross that just simply works, and therefore will be continued! She is a nice mix of her older sister, Genessee, and older brother, Jagger. (See more on both of those horses on Maddie’s page; 2007 and 2009 foals) Kami has a truly gorgeous head and neck, and great conformation in general. She shows 3 solid and correct gaits, with a natural tendency to be uphill. She has lots of flash to catch a judge’s eye.
Her older sister is pushing 16.3h as a 3 year old, so I would say the same height should be met by Kami. She can be registered and branded as a Belgium Warmblood. Kami is weaned and ready to go to a special home.
Summer 2011
Kami had a big day recently, first trip off the farm, and all by herself. She was amazing, so well behaved, she quickly realized she was going to survive this adventure and started concentrating on her hay net and watching all the new horses passing her by. She scored a nice 78 at the Belgium Warmblood inspection, first premium ranking, and is currently the second highest scoring filly in North America. She now sports a very sharp BWP brand too. More than ever I am seriously considering keeping Kami to replace her mom when she needs to retire, but for now, she is still for sale.
More pictures will be posted as I take them, and a video can be created on request.

EOWYN
BIRTH DATE: May 31 2009
SIRE: Escudo II
REGISTERED: Registered and branded with the German Hanoverian Verband
This is one cute filly, she’s a dainty and petite little girl (but that might not last being out of a 17.1h dam!) She has a sweet hearted and gentle way about her, but when she wants to play, clear out of her way!
Her sire is the expressive and typey black 16hh Hanoverian Licensing Champion Escudo II who appears in both the top list Jumpers and top list Type. He is one of only two stallions in North America to do so. Escudo II is in the Hanoverian Jumper Program and has the highest breed value for Type of any Hanoverian stallion in that Jumper Program. Escudo II maintains that top position in the 2009 Hanoverian stallion yearbook and shares his placing with Sandro Hit, a stallion also known to produces typey dressage horses, however Escudo II’s jumping index is much higher. See more about him and his pedigree on his link below.
Update: Spring 2011
This filly is a keeper, (just haven’t quite convinced the husband yet!) so smart, and so, so very sweet natured. She trailers like a pro, she’s been off property twice, once in a show, she’s been exposed to a lot for a horse who’s not even 2 yet. Everything we’ve thrown at her she’s handled better than a lot of mature horses. I couldn’t be more proud of her. She will make someone a marvelous partner. Plus, the girl can move! So much freedom in her shoulder, I absolutely cannot wait to see her muscled up and under saddle, I know she will amaze!
Update: Spring 2012
We're a month or so away from starting Eowyn under saddle, I'm looking forward to working with her based on her demeanor in general. Once the training has started there will be another increase in her price early summer.
More pictures will be posted as I take them, and a video can be created on request.
Please contact SlateHill Sporthorses for more information on Eowyn.

DIEGO
BIRTH DATE: July 18 2009
SIRE: Donnersohn
REGISTERED: Registered and branded with the German Hanoverian Verband
Diego is one nice foal, he’s a robust, powerful colt – he looked about a month old when I saw him the morning he was born! He is so strong and I haven’t seen him take a miss step yet. And with joints like his, I’d say he’s going to be another monster horse like his older half brother Rival. Diego has a gorgeous glossy black coat now, but I suspect that will be traded in over the years for a flashy grey color. This is my first breeding for more of a dressage result; I figured starting with the Donnerhall line might be a good idea. I absolutely can’t wait to watch this guy grow and develop. I think he’s going to be a super powerful horse in the competitive ring. I literally get “stuck” in the barn just watching him; there is something very captivating about this colt.
Update: Spring 2011
My “monster” colt, I call him, so huge, and still from the looks of his joints, lots of height to come. I guessed wrong though, he doesn’t appear to be trading in his glossy black coat for a grey one. I’d say he’s a pretty straight forward kind of guy, easy going, has a bit of his mom’s prankster ways, likes to play and tease “the girls” in the herd. Should have all the power in the world and the scope to take on eventing or jumping, but at the same time that power might be well used in the dressage ring too, I guess he’s a clean slate ready to be pointed in a number of directions. He is gelded and ready to start some handling and trailering work this spring.
Update: Spring 2012
We're also a month or so away from starting Diego under saddle, both he and Eowyn will begin their training in a round pen, and then they will head out on trail rides, nice light and interesting work for them. Diego's price will increase once this has begun (early summer).
More pictures will be posted as I take them, and a video can be created on request.
